Non-sting Strapping Adhesive Remover

MediCross NonñSting Adhesive Remover has a unique formula and is designed to break down adhesion very quickly by interrupting the interface between the adhesive and the skin. The very low surface energy of the solution allows rapid penetration through the absorbent dressing enabling it to reach the skin/adhesive interface where it forms a fine film throughout the interstices of the adhesive thus removing adhesion.

The Multidirectional spray can allows application in any direction making the removal of adhesive strapping form difficult access points easy and simple.

Two Application techniques can be used with the aerosol product:

Spraying directly onto the dressing and allowing a few seconds for the solution to penetrate before removal.

Spraying around an adhesive area and peeling it away slowly while still applying small quantities of the spray.

Instructions for use

1. Spray directly onto the adhesive dressing until soaked and wait a few seconds
2. The dressing just gently peels away. If necessary spray directly onto dressing as you peel
3. Dries in seconds with no residue allowing a replacement dressing to be applied immediately

Caution: Use only as directed. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and ears Discontinue use if irritation occurs

MediCross Non Sting Adhesive Remover is presented in two forms: An aerosol can for spraying directly onto the dressing prior to removal, particularly useful in wound treatment. A sachet wipe designed to remove adhesive residues left after the detachment of adhesive based devices.

Ingredients:

Hexamethyldisiloxane, Cyclomethicone, Octamethyltrisiloxane, Butane propellant. In Addition the Sachet product contains Dipropylene Glycol, Monomethyl Ether.

Additional Information: MediCross Non-Sting Adhesive Remover also contains an emollient to restore the condition of the skin once the dressing has been removed.

The solution dries rapidly by evaporation allowing a fresh dressing to be applied immediately after removal of the previous dressing.

MediCross Non-Sting Adhesive Remover in sachet form operates in a similar fashion to the spray option, however it contains an additional solvent designed to remove residues e.g. Residues from hydrocolloids and zinc oxide adhesives. Here a wiping action is used once the dressing has been removed. The wipe can also be used around the perimeter of an adhesive device wiping as the adhesive is slowly removed.
